This is a Nightmare

This is a Nightmare ......................
*****************************************************************************************

In the nightmare I found myself nude in bed, and I was looking at a mirror
on the ceiling,  and I discovered that I am a Negro, and I'm circumcised!  Quickly I sat up, found my pants and looked in the pockets to find my driver's license photo and it was that same color. Black.

I felt myself being very depressed, downcast, sitting in a chair.  But it's a wheelchair!!

That means, of course, besides being black and Jewish, I'm also disabled!!!

I said to myself, aloud "This is impossible. It's impossible that I should
be black and Jewish and disabled."

"It's the pure and holy truth", whispers someone from behind me.

I turn around, and it's my boyfriend.

Just what I needed!!! I am a homosexual, and on top of that with a Mexican
boyfriend. Oh, my God..... black, Jewish, disabled, gay, with a Mexican boyfriend, drug addict, and HIV-positive!!!

Desperate, I begin to shout, cry, pull my hair, and Oh, noooooo...I'm bald!!!

The telephone rings.  It's my brother.

He is saying, "Since mom and dad died the only thing you do is hang out,
take drugs, and laze around all day doing nothing. Get a job you worthless
piece of crap... Any job."

Mom?... Dad?... Nooooooooo... Now I'm also an unemployed orphan!

I try to explain to my brother how hard it is to find a job when you are
black, Jewish, disabled, gay with a Mexican boyfriend, are a drug addict,
HIV positive, bald, and an orphan. But he doesn't get it.

Frustrated, I hang up.  That's then I realize I only have one hand!!!

With tears in my eyes I go to the window to look out.

I see I live in a shanty-town full of cardboard and tin houses! There is
trash everywhere.

Suddenly I feel a sharp pain near my pacemaker.... Pacemaker?

Besides being black, Jewish, disabled, a fairy with a Mexican boyfriend, a
drug addict, HIV positive, bald, orphaned, unemployed, an invalid with one
hand, and having a bad heart, I live in a crappy neighborhood.

At that very moment my boyfriend approaches and says to me, "Sweetie pie,
my love, my little black heartthrob, have you decided who you are going to
vote for in the Primary? Will it be Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders ???"

Say it isn't so!!! I can handle being a black, disabled, one armed, drug
addicted, Jewish queer on a pacemaker who is HIV positive, bald, orphaned,
unemployed, living in a slum, and with a Mexican boyfriend, but please, oh
dear God, please don't tell me....

I'm a Democrat

Them 'Good Ole Days'
retired
Last comment by timeontarget 5 hours, 36 minutes ago.

Take Me To Post Comment Form A while back a well known copy and paste master wrote a Blog called BLACK AND WHITE. I find it very interesting when anybody refers to a time called THE GOOD OLD DAYS. I know by experience that the author 99% of the time is a White Anglo Saxon Protestant Male. Usually of a Conservative bent. The piece reflects the good times had by the person from their own perspective with a complete lack of perspective of what those 'good ole days' were to some people. I urge anyone reading this to read the words of BLACK AND WHITE BEFORE reading what is to follow.

THIS IS MR. COPY AND PASTE'S BLACK AND WHITE BLOG:

Black and White by Tot.
Under age 60? You won't understand.)

You could hardly see for all the snow, Spread the rabbit ears as far as they go.

'Good Night, David.
Good Night, Chet.'

My Mom used to cut chicken, chop eggs and spread mayo on the same cutting board with the same knife and no bleach, but we didn't seem to get food poisoning.

My Mom used to defrost hamburger on the counter and I used to eat it raw sometimes, too. Our school sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper in a brown paper bag, not in ice pack coolers, but I can't remember getting e.coli.

Almost all of us would Have rather gone swimming in the lake instead of a pristine pool (talk about boring), no beach closures then.

The term cell phone would have conjured up a phone in a jail cell, and a pager was the school PA system.

We all took gym, not PE... And risked permanent injury with a pair of high top Ked's (only worn in gym) instead of having cross-training athletic shoes with air cushion soles and built in light reflectors. I can't recall any injuries but they must have happened because they tell us how much safer we are now.

Flunking gym was not an option... Even for stupid kids! I guess PE must be much harder than gym.

Speaking of school, we all said prayers and sang the national anthem, and staying in detention after school caught all sorts of negative attention.

We must have had horribly damaged psyches. What an archaic health system we had then. Remember school nurses? Ours wore a hat and everything.

I thought that I was supposed to accomplish something before I was allowed to be proud of myself.

I just can't recall how bored we were without computers, Play Station, Nintendo, X-box or 270 digital TV cable stations.

Oh yeah... And where was the Benadryl and sterilization kit when I got that bee sting? I could have been killed!

We played 'king of the hill' on piles of gravel left on vacant construction sites, and when we got hurt, Mom pulled out the 48-cent bottle of mercurochrome (kids liked it better because it didn't sting like iodine did) and then we got our butt spanked.

Now it's a trip to the emergency room, followed by a 10-day dose of a $49 bottle of antibiotics, and then Mom calls the attorney to sue the contractor for leaving a horribly vicious pile of gravel where it was such a threat.

We didn't act up at the neighbor's house either; because if we did we got our butt spanked there and then we got our butt spanked again when we got home.

I recall Donny Reynolds from next door coming over and doing his tricks on the front stoop, just before he fell off.

Little did his Mom know that she could have owned our house.

Instead, she picked him up and swatted him for being such a goof. It was a neighborhood run amuck.

To top it off, not a single person I knew had ever been told that they were from a dysfunctional family.

How could we possibly have known that?

We needed to get into group therapy and anger management classes.

We were obviously so duped by so many societal ills, that we didn't even Notice that the entire country wasn't taking Prozac!

How did we ever survive?

LOVE TO ALL OF US WHO SHARED THIS ERA; AND TO ALL WHO DIDN'T, SORRY FOR WHAT YOU MISSED. I WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING!

Pass this to someone and remember that life's most simple pleasures are very often the best.

THE FOLLOWING IS MY JIMMYMACKIII'S REBUTTAL to THEM GOOD OLE DAYS:

Ah yes. The Good "OLD" Days. Man they were something weren't they! Especially if you were a white Anglo Saxon Male Protestant! Let's see what those Good Old Days were like from another perspective: Those were the days of Segregation. Separate but 'Equal' and all that crap. Black drinking fountains for the 'colored folks.' White drinking fountains for the white people. Colored folks sat in the Balcony of the Pal Theater. Whites sat on the floor level and up close seats. All blacks to the back of the bus. Whites sat up front. If you were Black you had by law give your seat up to a white person. No colored people could eat in a 'whites only' restaurant. Or had to stay in a "Colored People Only Motel" while traveling. 'Colored' people had to guess how many jelly beans were in a jar in order to vote. The KKK and some non KKK communities lynched, burnt alive and killed black people with impunity. Colored folks were lucky to afford a chicken to cut up much less a board to cut it on. Leave It To Beaver was not real. Never was. Same for Ozzie and Harriet and I Love Lucy. Women were not part of the work force. Men worked. White men got the promotable jobs. Blacks did days work or general labor. There was no such thing as Birth Control. If a girl got pregnant it was her fault. If a woman was raped by her father, she was lucky if she could find someone to help her abort the fetus with a coat hanger. If she lived she was socially marked negatively. Any person suffered from the possibility of being stigmatized if they had mental health issues and ostracized. You could drive drunk. Unless you were black. Even if Black you were subjected to being stopped and frisked if driving in a white neighborhood. Married white women were expected to be pregnant and stay at home. If they were "lucky" they had a Black maid to raise their babies and clean the house. Women were secretaries, not CEO's. If you were found out to be Gay by some heterosexuals you were beat up or killed with impunity. You were dis-owned by your own family. It was A.O.K. to 'whip' (beat) your child for misbehaving. Incidents of domestic abuse were left to sort out by the wife and husband, not by the Police, even if she had a broken jaw or black eyes. How much more do you want to get a different perspective on this TOT. Them GOOD OLD DAYS were GOOD OLD DAYS for YOU, maybe. But then, you are a White Anglo Saxon Protestant devoid of perspective.

I think in some ways, there was a good old days. I do remember a time that you didn't have to worry that once you put your child in bed, that some nut job was going to climb into his/her bedroom window and take them. Only rich people had to worry about kidnappings. I remember when you could walk to the park by yourself without CPS involvement. Heck I walked a mile to school each day and the experience didn't traumatize me. Back then the neighborhood policed all the children. I'd show my butt and my mother would know about it. When children respected teachers and there was an accountability to one's actions. Of course the good old days had its problems too. Bigotry for someone not your ethic/religious background. It was harder from someone of a lower economic class to move up to a higher one. Women were thought of as wives and mothers and little else. So there are some good thing about "the good old days" and some bad things. Just like it is today. And in twenty years, the kids of today will be saying the same things to their kids.
JimmyMackIII commented on Saturday, Jan 16, 2016 at 15:17 PM
Yes UP2, Them were some good ole days for some. Especially if you were Caucasian. I am a White boy and I experience them 'good ole days.' Being a white college educated male over 21 I had many opportunities afforded me. Surely you are not saying that those privileges pertained to all ethnicities are you? I do not know you or what race you are. But even as a white woman, even you were not privy to ALL the opportunities afforded me. I am not saying all whites had a happy childhood, many did not tho. And if you were a minority you enjoyed much less of societies fruits than you or me.
My point here is to be cognizant of perspectives other than your own. Grievances of the less fortunate cannot be addressed unless they are addressed.
Lacking any semblance of perspective regarding the human condition is disingenuous at best.
JimmyMackIII commented on Saturday, Jan 16, 2016 at 15:18 PM
And yes to all you conservatives out there, this IS about RACE and GENDER.
DEAL WITH IT.
JimmyMackIII commented on Saturday, Jan 16, 2016 at 15:27 PM
Let's look at the Gold Standard for those Good Ole Days, please UP2: The 1950's.
Let's say you and I went to the same college, had the same grade point average, both white, and of equal intelligence and we both possessed equal knowledge required for say an Executive position and were interviewed for the job. Do you think you would have the advantage over me, a white male, in getting the job? (Think Mad Men here a little bit)
JimmyMackIII commented on Saturday, Jan 16, 2016 at 15:39 PM
"My point here is to be cognizant of perspectives other than your own. Grievances of the less fortunate cannot be addressed unless they are addressed."
correction: grievances of the less fortunate cannot be rectified unless they are addressed.
up2sumptin commented on Saturday, Jan 16, 2016 at 16:03 PM
Uhm...did you read my post Jimmy? I basically stated that there were some good things and bad things about the good old days and that children today will reference these days as their good old days when they are our age.
JimmyMackIII commented on Saturday, Jan 16, 2016 at 16:27 PM
I realize things change with time. So do)perspectives. I am not DENYING your words.
I still maintain that the 50's (Happy Days and the Fonz) were experienced exorbitantly more on a regular basis by WASPs males. Especially more than women of any race or ethnicities, blacks, Hispanics and Gays.
And yes, UP2, I knows theys bees happy cuz they aweways be singing and jumpin' the broom.
up2sumptin commented on Saturday, Jan 16, 2016 at 17:40 PM
Ok Jimmy. I'll talk to you when you feel better.

Jimmy, about 60-65% of what TOT has posted I have went through and agree with and about 35-40% of what you have posted I went through and agree with. However our country's rule of law "Constitution has rectified a lot of wrong in America and it is disingenuous to continue blaming white folk in 2016 or the sins of America's past. For Christ sake if it weren't for a multitude of great white folk fighting for our rights we would probably be in even more dire straits today. Good blog we just need to get back to free market enterprise and rule of law "Constitution" and we will be fine. We are imperfect and there will always be obstacles to overcome, but our system is the best for prosperity for all people, unlike most other countries.
MikeLongCounty commented on Monday, Jan 18, 2016 at 00:45 AM
Jimmy ToT is talking about the values of this time, and even though he is older than me, I agree with him. Maybe "Leave it to Beaver" wasn't real...but the goal to have a home like the Cleaver's was what was desired and looked upon as what was right. What is the goal and desire today? To do whatever you feel, whatever "you" believe to be right. I don't care what color you are or sex...this country is in a mess. The family is under attack and there is no common values that unite us anymore. I'm 53 and over the last 30 years we have took a nose dive into immorality and UN-Godliness, and over the last 5-10 years the fall has been even faster.
Funk at one time I would have agreed with you. At one time I would have said don't interfere and work against the the free-market system and simply enforce the Constitution and we'll be OK. But unfortunately I can't say that anymore. This country needs Jesus Christ. Not Muhammad, Buddha,or anyone else. And people can say well, Mike that's your view and your belief, but others believe different. Well guess what guys, all I can say is they're wrong. At one time, I was a lot more willing to not tell people that they were wrong. But I am a lot less apt to do that today. When I was writing my opinion column on a regular basis, I had a guy tell me one time. "Well you just think you know more than anybody." He got mad, when I said, "Buddy I write an opinion column, of course I think I know more, if I didn't why would I write my opinion." As I have gotten old, I'm more inclined to say now, "I may not always do right (because I don't), but I know what right is, and that is what the Bible says." And the reality is the Bible also tells me and every one who is a Christian, not to distort it or misrepresent what it says. I can honestly and sincerely say that is one thing I try vehemently not to do. Even if Mike, would like it to say something else at times.
I am a weak, human, in the flesh. I am prideful, cold, and non-compassionate many times, and can also throw in a dash of sarcasm, just for good measure. But what I try not to be is a liar...and what I did say was try, because even in this area I can fall. But folks who believe in the Bible, and the Constitution, and in the ideals of Leave it to Beaver, and the Walton's, and even in the Charlie Brown Christmas better start having a righteous anger, because if they don't we will fall as a nation, and God will allow it.
Funkentelecky commented on Monday, Jan 18, 2016 at 10:28 AM
Thanks Mike, I agree with your whole summarization of this blog we need Jesus Christs and rule of law "Constitution" and a true leader in the whitehouse to "Make America Great Again" or "Heal, Inspire, Revive" this Country.
JimmyMackIII commented on Monday, Jan 18, 2016 at 11:51 AM
Well fellas I sure ain't going to say Jesus cannot change lives. He changed mine. And Funk, I am not saying you, Mike, or myself or UP2 experienced all those atrocities I noted. However, the FACT remains that those things happened whether, any of yall reading this personally experienced them or not.
Yes Mike, we ALL fall short, don't we. Yet we must continue to strive to achieve salvation. And all of us need to be conscious of mankind's inhumanity to man as we make that journey.
Yet it is a fact as far as I am concerned that Evil does exist in this world. And it comes in many forms. And, most importantly, we must not choose to ignore it.

I find this blog to be a prime example of the difference between liberals and conservatives.
My original blog entitled Black and White had absolutely nothing to do with race or gender.
Jimmy Darsey why did you feel the need to make a blog such as this which does nothing but stoke the fires of hatred.
Those of us on both sides of the color as well as politics need to promote unity and willingness to reunite our country.
To continue to encourage hatred is a definite way to continue our journey down the road to destruction.
JimmyMackIII commented on Wednesday, Jan 20, 2016 at 12:26 PM
Because you demented Goat, you absolutely do not realize that THEM GOOD OLE days were literal HELL for many folks.
And I will go so far as to say that MY Good Ole Days far surpassed any of your rudimentary experiences.
That is the difference between you and me. One of us has the ability to see things from different view points while the other is criminally deficient in seeing things from only ONE view.
JimmyMackIII commented on Wednesday, Jan 20, 2016 at 13:00 PM
TOT: Your boy Trump is doing more to stoke the fires of hatred of anybody on the planet except for that Korean monkey boy, Iran's Ayotollah and Trump's lunatic following, like you.
BTW: Carson is dead in the water. Hope you sent him campaign money. I know that would be hard for a tight wad like you, but if you did you wasted your money on Benny.

As I write this, England, is considering before its Parliament whether to give THE DONALD a visa to enter their country!!!
England you see, during the days of Winston Churchill, saw what Herr Adolph's schtick came down to as he too was petitioning for a visa. They said NO to Brother Adolph.
Right now it is hung up in British Parliament. Seems the problem as only the British can recognize is the same hate talk resonated by the Fuhrer....NATIONALISM, XENOPHOPIA, SCAPEG0ATES, VERMIN coming to the Fatherland due to a lack of Greatness by the German people.
Trump is a cultivator of hate and is on Record for ACCEPTING THAT MONIKER!
Sarah Palin, of all people, endorses the DONALD.
Go get 'em Angry White diminishing in numbers, White Bubbas and Bubbetts.
Hopefully,... soon you will be the minority that grew into a Country that put AMericans on a Massive express Elevator to HELL.

England briefly allowed some liberal voices to use their positions to express insulting comments about Trump.
The move went nowhere and passed on quickly.

This blog removes any doubt as to the question of JimmyMack's sickness.
It appears to me that his primary purpose is to race bait and promote divisiveness among the bloggers on this Coastal Courier blog site.
I am a conservative and I understand that JimmyMack and others are of differing opinions than mine.
I wish we could have honest meaningful discussions of our concerns and interest without childish name calling and insulting commentary.
However I am reminded of Dr. Carson's statement in the now famous Prayer Day speech: "When liberals have nothing meaningful to say they name call and insult".
So sad.

Where are our tax bills?

The 20th of Dec is the deadline for property tax notices in the State of Georgia. There are 159 counties in Georgia. Liberty County is almost always the last county in the state to take our digest and proposed millage rates to the state office in Atlanta.

Why are we always late?

The main reason is our school board waits until the last minute to set their millage so that they can be certain that ours is among the top 15% of the 159 counties so that we qualify for Federal Impact Aid to help us supply schools for military dependents.

To get those funds our school board must impose an excessively high property tax on Liberty County property owners. There is no incentive to operate our school system as efficiently as possible.

In fact the opposite is the case.

Military auto owners purchase a Liberty County car tag for $20 whether it is a one hundred thousand dollar vehicle or a two thousand dollar clunker. We the locals pay much more for similar vehicles.

Lowes of Hinesville prices their merchandise at a rate of ten percent above other stores of theirs in non military towns and then give a 10% military discount while we civilians pay an excessive amount. Harris Ace Hardware is usually cheaper than Lowes for their merchandise.

I am sure there are a number of other things that cost us locals more to live here than would be the case if Fort Stewart was not here.

We are told that Fort Stewart benefits us all but woefully I have to disagree with that.

A breakfast in Screven Ga. recently cost me just over five dollars for the same thing that averages about nine dollars here in Liberty County. Oh and in Screven it was not a chain store eatery it was one that has been there every time I have ever passed through.

I want to be as generous to my wife for Christmas as I can but I wish I knew what my property tax burden for this year is before I select a gift. I believe we have until Feb 15th maybe to pay our property tax without the penalty and the penalty is one or two percent and then for each month afterwards an additional one per cent is added.

You work and strive all of your life to pay off your home and property and then we are stuck with the equivalent of a nominal house payment in the form of tax notice for the rest of our lives.

I never worked in government employment by choice. I don't enjoy a generous pension but I am proud to be self sustaining. However my resources are limited and if I lived in Screven I would live much higher on the hog as the saying goes.

Now to my message.

Our local elected officials in county, city and school board all have become addicted to their heroin of tax revenue which they extract from us at every possible means and then create things such as the "Justice Center" which is in fact a monument to injustice for old time property owners. I've been told that we the property owners of Liberty County are obligated on the Justice Center for about twenty six million give or take dollars and I suspect we are still in debt for the elaborate city hall as well as the beautiful Development Authority building.

If you own property here you are going to pay these bills off if you live long enough and don't lose your real estate.

Our chief administrators in all of our local governments are generously compensated in the $100,000 range with many highly paid underlings receiving generous salaries and benefits.

Our Administrators were obligated ethically to steer our inept elected officials away from straddling us with these debts.

Did they do it? No they did not.

Oh and the more new facilities that we build the more employees must be hired to operate such facilities. The more people a supervisor oversees the more salary he receives.

There is no incentive for efficiency, in fact the opposite is true.

And many public service jobs are non essential. I'd bet one out of ten could be completely done without and likely with good management and oversight we could improve on that even.

However there is no incentive to operate efficiently.

Oversight is supposed to be done by our Mayor and Council, Commissioners and Commission Chairman and School Board members and their Chairman. They are supposed to operate in the best interest of property owners first and residents second.

Those who don't should have opposition next time there term is up.

Most of our local politicians think way too much of themselves and just go along with whatever the employees and administrators advise.

They enjoy doing things for their constituents and in this county most of their constituents are tenants and many of them are tenants to slum lords who pay far too little taxes on mobile home parks jammed full of humanity and misery that must be served by the taxpayer's employees and administrators.

We are a community of infantry soldiers and camp followers many of which survive on welfare of one form or another. We have a substantial number of units of public assistance residents. Think Tree Properties and such.

We are a community of consumers and not much production. We are in the perfect situation for misguided public officials to impose local option sales taxes on us and then use the proceeds of such taxes to put us in debt if we own property.

Last year the voters quietly rejected the SPLOST because they have had their fill of seeing our property taxes steadily increased.

I believe our newly elected Mayor thinks that SPLOST is a good thing. I think we can survive without it and suck it up by paying the current tax rate but please lets not build anything more for us to support.

I'd like to suggest that every single Liberty County property or homeowner make a new year's resolution to not vote for any candidate who advocates another round of SPLOST.

Merry Christmas To all and especially the natives.

New Book, ‘Clinton Cash,’ Questions Foreign Donations to Foundation

Photo

The book does not hit shelves until May 5, but already the Republican Rand Paul has called its findings “big news” that will “shock people” and make voters “question” the candidacy of Hillary Rodham Clinton.
“Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich,” by Peter Schweizer — a 186-page investigation of donations made to the Clinton Foundation by foreign entities — is proving the most anticipated and feared book of a presidential cycle still in its infancy.
The book, a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times, asserts that foreign entities who made payments to the Clinton Foundation and to Mr. Clinton through high speaking fees received favors from Mrs. Clinton’s State Department in return.
“We will see a pattern of financial transactions involving the Clintons that occurred contemporaneous with favorable U.S. policy decisions benefiting those providing the funds,” Mr. Schweizer writes.
His examples include a free-trade agreement in Colombia that benefited a major foundation donor’s natural resource investments in the South American nation, development projects in the aftermath of the Haitian earthquake in 2010, and more than $1 million in payments to Mr. Clinton by a Canadian bank and major shareholder in theKeystone XL oil pipeline around the time the project was being debated in the State Department.

What Hillary Clinton Would Need to Do to Win

In the long lead up to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign announcement, aides proved adept in swatting down critical books as conservative propaganda, including Edward Klein’s “Blood Feud,” about tensions between the Clintons and the Obamas, and Daniel Halper’s “Clinton Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.”
But “Clinton Cash” is potentially more unsettling, both because of its focused reporting and because major news organizations including The Times, The Washington Post and Fox News have exclusive agreements with the author  to pursue the story lines found in the book.
Members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which includes Mr. Paul and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, have been briefed on the book’s findings, and its contents have already made their way into several of the Republican presidential candidates’ campaigns.
Conservative “super PACs” plan to seize on “Clinton Cash,” and a pro-Democrat super PAC has already assembled a dossier on Mr. Schweizer, a speechwriting consultant to former President George W. Bush and a fellow at the conservative Hoover Institution who has contributed to the conservative website Breitbart.com, to make the case that he has a bias against Mrs. Clinton.

Who Is Running for President (and Who’s Not)?

And the newly assembled Clinton campaign team is planning a full-court press to diminish the book as yet another conservative hit job.
A campaign spokesman, Brian Fallon, called the book part of the Republicans’ coordinated attack strategy on Mrs. Clinton “twisting previously known facts into absurd conspiracy theories,” and he said “it will not be the first work of partisan-fueled fiction about the Clintons’ record, and we know it will not be the last.”
Mr. Schweizer and a spokeswoman for HarperCollins, which is owned by News Corporation and is publishing the book, declined to comment.
The timing is problematic for Mrs. Clinton as she begins a campaign to position herself as a “champion for everyday Americans.”

From 2001 to 2012, the Clintons’ income was at least $136.5 million, Mr. Schweizer writes, using a figure previously reported in The Post. “During Hillary’s years of public service, the Clintons have conducted or facilitated hundreds of large transactions” with foreign governments and individuals, he writes. “Some of these transactions have put millions in their own pockets.”
The Clinton Foundation has come under scrutiny for accepting foreign donations while Mrs. Clinton served as secretary of state. Last week, the foundation revised its policy to allow donations from countries like Germany, Canada, the Netherlands and Britain but prohibit giving by other nations in the Middle East.
Mr. Schweizer’s book will be released the same day former President Bill Clinton and the Clintons’ daughter, Chelsea, will host the Clinton Global Initiative gathering with donors in Morocco, the culmination of a foundation trip to several African nations. (A chapter in the book is titled “Warlord Economics: The Clintons Do Africa.”)
There is a robust market for books critical of the Clintons. The thinly sourced “Blood Feud,” by Mr. Klein, at one point overtook Mrs. Clinton’s memoir “Hard Choices” on the best-seller list.
But whether Mr. Schweizer’s book can deliver the same sales is not clear. He writes mainly in the voice of a neutral journalist and meticulously documents his sources, including tax records and government documents, while leaving little doubt about his view of the Clintons.
His reporting largely focuses on payments made to Mr. Clinton for speeches, which increased while his wife served as secretary of state, writing that “of the 13 Clinton speeches that fetched $500,000 or more, only two occurred during the years his wife was not secretary of state.”
In 2011, Mr. Clinton made $13.3 million in speaking fees for 54 speeches, the majority of which were made overseas, the author writes.

An earlier version of this article gave an incorrect name for the think tank for which Peter Schweizer is a fellow. It is the Hoover Institution, not the Hoover Institute.

Gink's Filthy language

Take Me To Post Comment FormThere is filth here on this site. Go to Ginko_Biloba's site and click on his comments. I am sorry to expose anyone to this kind of "language." Many of us disagree but we don't use filthy language to accentuate our disagreements.

For the most part we all use humor, clever retorts, valid criticisms, and clean language. What Ginko is doing is downright wrong. What if we all did what he is doing?

If you visit his profile, and click on comments, prepare yourself for they are not for the faint of heart.

We are allowed to disagree here, but not like this.

It doesn't matter if you agree or vehemently disagree with my views on these pages. But this is not about my views. It is about how one frames their responses.

The way Ginko is doing it though, has no place here or anywhere else unless one is part of the prison culture.

If you wish to do something about this kind of language being utilized by Ginko_Biloba, then report him to the webmeister. If it is allowed to stand, this place will be reduced to a pigsty.

No I do not approve of the language used in comments posted under the handle of:
Ginko
However I doubt that Ginko is really another individual but more likely is the creation of another blogger.
For all I know Ginko is a creation of Jimmy Darsey.

Tot: Gink has wandered completely off the reservation. And sadly, you seem to be marginally infected by his comments.
I will not turn your own words against you by suggesting that Ginko is really Tot. However, your comments are indicative of a dark and devious mindset.
I know you like seeing me get ANY sort of abuse. I can take it. But Gink's language is wrong and you know it. Perhaps you should run it by your wife and get her opinion of his language.?!

My wife has access to this computer. Once before when a right wing nut job started sending me personal messages of a questionable nature, I took them to Officer Joe Gilliam of HPD. He saw them and agreed there may be a veiled threat being made towards me, and that the individual may in fact be in violation of my Fourth Amendment Rights.
He paid a home visit to my 'antagonist' and the messages stopped.
Would you want this filth, regardless of whom you think is the author, coming to you on your computer?

Many of my friends would disagree, and that's fine, but...I've come to believe that one of the only good things to come from physical or mental suffering is that it has the power to make you more aware of your total dependence on God, which is, was and always will be there, though it remains as out-of-sight as an underground electric cable.
